Academic Integrity and Quality Initiative – Academic IQ

The Academic Integrity and Quality Initiative (Academic IQ), implemented by the American Councils for International Education with the assistance of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine (Public Affairs and Culture Division), the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, aims to unite the professional community of educators to share experiences and collaborate to institutionalize academic principles.  integrity in the system of secondary and higher education in Ukraine.

During 2020-2022, the Project team together with national and international experts:

• will support 60 selected universities to create an effective model of internal monitoring of the quality of education and implementation of the principles of academic integrity;
• work on the development of the capacities of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA) and the development of a unified systematic approach for the implementation of legislative initiatives and requirements for academic integrity in universities;
• will provide Ukrainian educators with recommendations and training on the development and implementation of modern teaching methods, practices for reviewing and adapting curricula that will ensure compliance with academic integrity in the secondary education system of Ukraine.

Project mission

Strengthening the capacity of the educational system on the principles and principles of academic integrity and quality of education in Ukraine.

Vision

Systemic changes in Ukrainian education, which will benefit all participants in the academic process – students and students, teachers and teachers, universities and schools.

The components of the Academic IQ project include working with:

• centers of internal quality assurance of education / their structural matches in higher education institutions, scientific and pedagogical staff and administration for the development and implementation of tools for assessing and monitoring academic integrity and quality of education in universities;
• development of a unified systematic approach for the implementation of legislative initiatives and requirements for academic integrity in universities;
• development and implementation of modern teaching methods, practices of revision and adaptation of curricula that will ensure compliance with academic integrity in the system of secondary and higher education in Ukraine.
